In this week's conversation I am joined by Stacey Martin Bafi Yeboa. Stacey is a visionary with a unique design background. Her time as a professional performing artist and dancer on Broadway in New York City is what sparked her passion to design. Her company has recently transitioned from Kania Couture Inc. to Stacey Martin Lifestyle Inc. Stacey is driven by providing men and women with clothes that allow them to move freely in who they are. She believes that we need to be willing to take away the limits of our roles and the titles we may hold, and know that evolving is part of what helps us to get to the highest expression of ourselves. Stacey believes that our clothes should be a tool to allow our light to shine and should exude the essence of whoever are or want to be. Stacey encourages listeners to 'take a moment.' To take time to be in the current moment and appreciate where they are, who they are, what they have accomplished and to remember the importance of appreciating our everyday moments.

Stacey is a visionary with a unique design background. At the age of 17 years she started her career as a professional performing artist, having danced in various tv shows, commercials, movies and theatre productions. It was her time as a dancer "On Broadway" in New York City that sparked her passion for fashion design.
Looking for luxurious yet comfortable clothing to complement her life as a Broadway dancer, she found a gap in the market and founded her start-up label KANIA Couture Inc.
KANIA quickly gained popularity with her peers and was soon sold in retail stores across Canada. Recognition followed and the brand was invited to present at notable fashion events including New York Fashion Week, Toronto Fashion Week and Project Las Vegas.
Fast forward to 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, Stacey is poised to pivot her company and overseeing its rebranding to be more of an extension of who she is… Welcome Stacey Martin Lifestyle Inc.
Stacey Martin Lifestyle Inc. is currently in the development phase and scheduled for an official brand launch in April 2021. The brand is everything that KANIA was though, with an increased emphasis and broadening of body positivity, wellness, falling in love with yourself and living your best life.
Designs are simple and adaptable, made with sustainable natural materials and ethical production practices to minimise impacts on the environment. The brand encompasses the essence, sophistication and the laid-back effortlessness as felt on the Caribbean islands of Stacey’s heritage, St. Kitts and Nevis.
